A New York Wednesday

I walked by a part of Central Park that I don't usually pass on a weekday.  I can understand why people like to live near the park.

But the best part was having dinner with Jacob.  It had been far too long since I had last seen him.  I was reminded tonight how wonderful he is.

We met at Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria in the Bowery and ate delicious bread, olive oil, ricotta cheese and pastas.

The Bucatini Cacio E Pepe with pecorino romano and black pepper was very good but the Gnudi with ricotta, cherry tomatoes, anchovy and brown butter made the meal.

I recommend stopping at the counter on the way out to order salted caramel gelato.  I think I found my new favorite ice cream on the east side.
