Wes Anderson-ific

It's been a few years now that I've wanted to celebrate all things Wes Anderson.  His vision, his characters, his muted colors and choice of music make beautiful, complicated, simple films.

Imagine Brigham creating a set list using all of the songs from the films.  He divided it perfectly between music to mingle and music to dance.

My friends dressed in wonderful costumes which I'll introduce more fully in the next post.  Here is where you just enjoy looking at photos of people enjoying themselves.

Favorite photo of the night but it may be because she came all the way from Boston.  She's also adorable.

Second favorite photo of the night.  I don't think it needs an explanation.

A few food shots.  I tried to serve food from the films.

Banana Butterscotch cupcakes represent the butterscotch sundae ordered by Margot Tenenbaum in the Royal Tenenbaums.

Donuts and juice boxes from The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Pigs in a Blanket was a combination of hot dogs in Moonrise Kingdom and croissants that Mr. Anderson love to eat.  I learned that fact from a former intern of his.  They don't look good but they were.

Mr. and Mrs. Lambson made an appearance.

Trish who looked convincingly like she really was in a car accident.

Mean Mr. Brigham and Molly.

Brigham and Jeff playing mortal enemies.

Monica and Dave were from the same film but can you guess which one.

Chaunte and Alpha.  Both costumes were handmade.

Very excited that Sheena and Jamar also came to the party after a long trip from Boston.  Happy Birthday Jamar!

Mer was dancing to the music and not because I told her to.

Alexis and Brent in front of one of my backdrops.

  2. Wow!! Amazing party. I am so happy to see the people dressed so wonderfully. I was invited to a lunch party few days ago at a local venue New York. Delicious food was served, prepared by famous catering service that were hired for the day.
