DC Trees in the Winter

I was really hoping for snow today because DC looks really beautiful in the snow.  It's been far too long since it has happened.

Last weekend was unseasonably warm so Phor and I ventured out to the National Arboretum.  I had forgotten how beautiful trees can be even in the winter and without snow.

The light is too bright in the photo but we could actually see the Capitol and Washington Monument from this hill.  It's a gorgeous way to see DC.
